Courageous Advocacy

Molly, Jacob and Siena went out on the local beaches to do a beach clean.

Annie crocheted poppies and sold them to help raise money for the poppy appeal.

Darcey baked cookies for the local firefighter to say thank you for all they do for us.

Millie with a big bag of toys that she picked from her toys and was no longer playing with. She donated them to a charity called Toy Drive. The charity recycles unwanted toys and give them to children who need them in hospitals, hospices, bereavement centres, community centres, migrant, refugee and women’s refuge centres and much more.

Robyn worked towards completing a good turn every day with her Brownies group.

Teddy helped his grandad for 3 weekends to sell poppies. His grandad is a veteran & so Teddy was very proud and enjoyed helping raise money for our soldiers past and present.

Mrs Ashley-Jones was very pleased to receive this letter to pass on to one of our Year 6 pupils, James. James wrote a letter to Chartwells (our school dinner provider) as he was not satisfied that they were making enough effort to cut back on single use plastics as we had requested and they had promised. Mrs Ashley-Jones sent the letter on to the area manager and the photos show James reading his reply. We are really proud of you James - a real campaigner in the making who has shown that actions speak louder than words. You have really lived out our school value of hope and perseverance in your work. Well done.
