Church Distinctiveness

How are we a distinctive Church of the England Primary School?

At Reculver C of E Primary School we aim to be distinctive in our Christian character by living out our school values and Bible verse daily. Collective Worship is a key part of our school day, setting the tone for the behaviour and ethos of our school family. We have strong links with our local Vicar, Rev Sue and parish churches which we use on many occasions, from R.E lessons, class collective worship to mark key dates in the Christian calendar.

The Christian values of love, compassion, endurance, forgiveness and hope underpin and enhance everything we ALL do within the community and fellowship of our school.

The children are encouraged to think outwardly and to put the needs of others before themselves by following our school Bible verse.

“We show love and compassion for others by truly helping them, and not merely talking about it.”

 1 John 3:18

The British Values of tolerance, rule of law, individual liberty, democracy and respect have been weaved in to our distinctively Christian character by following the example of Jesus and how he treated people of all races, beliefs and culture.

This Bible verse explains this clearly.

“For God called you to do good. He is your example and you must follow in His steps. 1 Peter 2:21
