Match Reports:

23rd January

On Thursday 23rd January Reculver joined 35 schools from around Kent taking part in the Football League Kids Cup at Strood Kicks Centre. After a shaky opening two matches bringing a defeat and a draw Reculver required something special to qualify from their group. This they provided with three superb wins against St Peters,Upton and Rodmersham Schools. This meant they were staying for the afternoon knockout stages! A tight 1-0 victory in the quarter final against Folkestone Academy took them through to the semi finals where a 1-0 defeat to Hernhill sadly put paid to Reculvers hopes of glory. Through their wholehearted skilful performances the team helped their supporters ignore the pouring rain and gloomy skies . Well done!

Year 2 Team

Reculver sent a year 2 football team to Abbey School in Faversham last month. The reason for this was to take part in a football tournament against a dozen other local schools.
Despite showing energy and effort they failed to qualify from their group mirroring the events happening in Brazil for the England football team. However, unlike the England team, I have confidence that these Reculver children will go on to bigger and better results in the sporting world!
